Alejandra understands that wellness is a function of the whole; mind, body, and spirit. While a condition and its symptoms must be treated, Alejandra approaches conditions by first focusing on emotional release. She believes the body holds onto emotional memories of stress, trauma, etc., which can manifest themselves as illness - releasing this tension is an intricate part of the healing process. By addressing not just the physical manifestations but also the root cause of the condition, the patient is more likely to see a holistic and long-lasting recovery, and is less likely to relapse into old patterns. Alejandra is an empathetic and compassionate healer, and her patients' comfort and peace of mind are her first concerns.
Alejandra is a graduate of the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine, which is an accredited Traditional Chinese Medicine Academy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She received a Bachelor's in Health Science and a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also licensed by the state of Arizona as a Traditional Chinese Medicine physician. Alejandra was trained on the NADA protocol (National Acupuncture Detoxification), which is used worldwide for the treatment of substance abuse, depression, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Alejandra also taught as a Clinic Supervisor at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. The Life Extension Foundation, a nutraceutical information-based company, also employed her as a Health Advisor where she discussed health concerns, shared research, and advised callers on general nutritional health and modalities of treatment.
